Craig visited with us today on the 2008 Valuations New Appraisals - Values as of June 30 2008. We will be recieving a Notice of Value (NOV)

Assessments are completed every 2 years.

Many considerations contribute to the assesstmnts. Schools have a lot to do with values as do sales in the area. Durango is one of the highest levels due to its eminities. Bayfield had large growth in 07 as we had a lot of properties that are lower priced and a good school system. Commercial properties included 10% increases across the County. Land values have seen the greatest increase - Supply vs Demand. Residential values vary - Durango ^ Ignacio greatest increases. Rural Properties have been uneven - mostly increasing - location, distance to Durango, etc. ALL taxes are subject to Market valuation of June 30, 2008
